Francis William Pullen

Born: 29th September 1918
Died: 19??

Francis (Frank) was the son of Samuel Pullen and Marguerite Sarah Pullen neé Ives. Frank married Rose Pullen (Maiden name unknown) and the father of Frank Pullen.

Francis was born the twin of Frederick John Pullen with an elder brother Samuel George Pullen. He followed his twin to an open air school where he apparently got up to a fair amount of mischief. At about the age of 11 he joined the scouts in the 18th Camberwell at Christchurch, and both he and Frederick were fond of camping and cycling until the outbreak of World War Two.

Frank joined the army entering the Middlesex regiment. He travelled to Holland, Germany, Iceland and Scotland. It was during his leave from the army that Frank met the Rose, and shortly the married couple became the proud parents of their son Frank.

Frank Senior restarted his scouting career in 1952 helping the Camberwell troop in Cobourg Road School. Eventually he also took on the Cub pack, assisted the guides and the Brownies too. Their adventures included hiking, canoeing, camping, sailing and travelling.
