George Thomas Benjamin Lucas

George was born in Deptford, London. He was the son of James Lucas.

George married to Mary Ellen Emily Lucas neé Walker at St Philips Church, Camberwell on 30th July 1904 (he was 21 and Mary was 20). At this time, George was a fireman. They went on to have six children: Edna May Hill neé Lucas, James Henry Lucas, Joan Theresa Pyefinch neé Lucas, John William Lucas, Lillian Mary Ayers neé Lucas and Thomas George Lucas.

Later records showed George as a 'Rail Motorman' and a 'Railway Platform Foreman'. According to Edna, he ran the platform at his station.

George died in Lewisham with heart problems and chronic bronchitis.
