Jeannette was born in Lambeth, London to George Thomas Ives and Mary Jane Ives neé Ward. She was the sister of Archibald Ives, George Stanley Ives, John Ives, Marguerite Sarah Pullen neé Ives and Mary Ives.

Jeanette married Tom Rawson and moved to Colnbrook, Buckinghamshire. She died 1st May 1931 having become totally blind.
