Mary Ellen Emily Lucas neé Walker

Died: 14th September 1974

Mary was born in Fulham, London and was the daughter of Mary Anne Walker neé Connell and Edward Walker.

Mary married George Thomas Benjamin Lucas at St Philips Church, Camberwell on 30th July 1904 (he was 21 and Mary was 20). They went on to have six children: Edna May Hill neé Lucas, James Lucas, Joan Theresa Pyefinch neé Lucas, John William Lucas, Lillian Mary Ayers neé Lucas and Thomas George Lucas.

Mary liked her bottle of stout and glass of sherry.

Mary lived in the same house in Lewisham for 41 years before she died at the age of 91. She died of a heart problem and her death certificate also mentioned senility.
